About John
 

John Arifin is a photographer- writer based in Singapore. John's work had appeared in newspapers,  calendar , television and radio.  He is a regular contributor to Asian Geographic Magazine on wildlife and culture of Asia.

When he is not travelling,  he leads photography workshop in Singapore for people who want to learn the art of photography.  He also conducts Adobe Photoshop Lightroom workshop in Singapore.

John has  participated in nature photography workshop at the Brooks Institute of Photography in USA and the BBC Wildlife Photo Symposium in London.

Background

After working for 20 years in the IT industry and multi-nationals covering Asia Pacific, John decided to take his work experience and passion for nature by linking the like minded people around the world who love nature and photography by using the internet and the world wide web to promote nature awareness in Asia through photography.

Heather is the past President of the Royal Photographic Society Nature Group and author of many books on photographic techniques, natural history and gardening topics.
